Rudy is passionate and effective in helping people. This passion has inspired and motivated him to learn and practice many various treatment modalities including, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Schema Therapy. Rudy has experience in working in confidential populations including medical, legal, law enforcement, active and separated military as well as first responders. Rudy’s time working in the world of substance use disordered has given him a unique perspective on the family perspective and has led him to a desire to aid families in being better able to hold boundaries, communicate, and gain a basic understanding of recovery both from substance use disorders and chronic mental health issues.

Rudy has completed his EMDRIA certification in EMDR and has used this modality for anxiety, loss, depression, and trauma. Rudy finds EMDR to be a highly effective treatment for acute stress or trauma. EMDR addresses the “triggers” that push the emotional replay button of traumatic memory, facilitating a neurological reset. Rudy has a unique specialty, that is designed to address recent traumatic events with an early EMDR Intervention (EEI). The protocol was established in Israel by Elan Shapiro, PhD, and Brurut Laub, PhD. For more information regarding EMDR please visit the links below.
